A mama bear playing with her cub is what we see happening in this wonderful fetish!  Carved by Herbert Him, made with Azurite and eyes adorned with Turquoise.  The detail work on both bears is so intricate and the paws are also carved with detail as well. 

The strength of Bear medicine is the power of introspection. Bear seeks honey, or sweetness of the truth. Many tribes call this inner-knowing The Dream Lodge, where the death of the illusion of physical reality overlays the expansiveness of Eternity.  It is the Dream Lodge that our ancestors sit in Council and to guide us to our goals.  In the Bear cave, in silence, while on is dreaming, or hibernating, other leaves of imagination and consciousness can manifest, aiding in our dreams becoming reality.
