This wonderful little badger is carved out of pyrite, by Travis Nieto. It is fairly rare to see fetishes carved out of this material due to the hardness of the stone. The name Pyrite comes from the Greek word "pyr" meaning fire, because it was found that sparks would fly from it if struck against another mineral.
