Wild Horse Magnasite Turtle
LLB4009
If you don't see an image on the right at first, please refresh page This wonderful turtle is carved by Leland Boone, out of wild horse magnesite Wild Horse stone is also referred to as Crazy Horse stone. It is a mixture of magnesite and hematite (an iron mineral). This is a newly discovered stone, found in the mid-90's near the Globe copper mine in the Gila wilderness area of Southern Arizona. It received this name because it resembles a spotted brown and white pinto horse. Generally the stone is very white with purple hued browns or rosy browns running through the white magnesite. Some have called it Wild Horse Turquoise, but this is not a turquoise! Currently there only seems to be one source for Wild Horse stone. Because of its rarity and beauty, it retains a high value and is remarkably popular. Turtle Medicine: Turtle is the oldest symbol for Mother Earth and the personification of grounding, goddess energy. Turtle medicine honors the creative source that abides within. Like turtle’s shell, this medicine protects us from hurt, envy, jealousy and the unconsciousness in ourselves and in others. It also asks us to be mindful of the cycle of give and take.
