This Brion Hattie Wolf is carved out of Crazy Horse Stone. It has a 'gift bundle' (turquoise, coral, shell, or heishi) placed on the back of the fetish to encourage the animal spirit to share its power or knowledge with us.

Crazy Horse stone is a mixture of magnesite and hematite( an iron mineral). This is a newly discovered stone, found in the mid-90's near the Globe copper mine in the Gila wilderness area of southern Arizona. It is received this name because it resembles a spotted brown and white pinto horse. Some have called it Wild Horse Turquoise but it is not Turquoise! Currently there only seems to be one source of Wild Horse Stone, therefore because of its rarity and beauty it retains a high value and remarkably popular.
