This six direction piece was carved by Fitz Kiyie. The bear, made of turquoise, is the center piece, with the remaining five animals tied to it's back in the form of a gift bundle. The animals are: an alabaster wolf, a pipestone badger, a picasso marble eagle, a jet mole and a soapstone cougar.

The Six Directional Animals are said to carry with them, for all eternity, our life's blood. Our blood and their blood are ONE. It is through them that the GREAT SPIRIT hears our prayers. It is through them that we are taught to use our natural powers that inspire us in walking the Good Red Road; a life of oneness with Mother Earth.
